This was painted alongside what could be its companion piece, Play Structure, and derived its name from the notions of how children might respond to this scene.  Parts of it remind me of the popular and timeless game of Chutes & Ladders that I played as a child.   But this was never for children.  Grown up children, maybe.  The sectioned off pipe, which is gone now, was big enough for me to walk through should I have attempted.  And the shadow of the broken ladder has a curious bend to it, as if it is feeling its way around the cylinder. The structure holding the pipe section on the right of the piece is the structure that I recreated in the Play Structure piece.

Created with acrylic paint, it is framed in a simple, handmade wood frame.
