One of the first paintings I completed after moving west from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. Being primarily a figurative painter, I was suddenly overwhelmed and captivated by the sky and weather. The hills and buildings created "frames" and boundaries for the churning clouds. This scene is a vivid memory from driving through Squirrel Hill down towards 376. Simple handmade frame.
